Avatars...
Hi all,
since a new contageous Avatar "disease" seems to circulate in this forum, I naturally asked myself, what would be appropriate for me?
Of course, being a most serious character, I will never use Avatars really. But for a couple of days, I thought it might be just fun...
So on the left you may admire what I feel fits to me during the next two days ...

And here I thought that my avatar was perfectly reasonable for a Brain-Dead
old Geezer like myself... <hee, hee>
Actually though, Albert looks a LOT like I do now, except for the fact that he
doesn't have as much facial hair.
Take care, Bob

I look exactly like my avatar. no, I'm serious. I'm 4 feet tall, blonde, and have my own red space ship....
Seriously, I don't think there is a thing wrong with avatars. I'm always interested in what people choose for themselves. The other common avatar I use in BBS forums (not that I belong to many) is Stewie from the Family guy. In many ways, it is also quite appropriate to my personality... **chuckles**

Yes, it is contageous .
OK here is a concrete instruction:
Go to your profile, after you prepared a nice image NOT more than 80x80 pixel of President G.W. Bush.
Scroll to the lower section, called 'Avatar control panel'.
Hit 'Browse' at 'Upload Avatar from your machine', locate Mr. Bush and upload...Finally, type 'submit'. Henceforth we shall all love you, Mr. president
If you are tired of Mr. Bush just hit 'Delete Image'...

Well, since everyone else is having so much fun...
In case it isn't transparently obvious to you ( ), I've chosen a tesseract.
Rendered using POV-ray, using my own code. Full animation on DeviantART if you're interested.

testing mine
Cham suggested an animated gif, and I remember I made some small ones, months ago. just testing them =]
Cham wrote:Chaos, it's beautifull. You should make it an animated GIF as avatar here.
I tried to get an animation that fits the rather stringent memory requirements here, but the amount of frame culling to get it to work makes it very difficult. In any case animations are annoying and distracting on discussion boards.

OK, who hid the Avatar place that I'm supposed to click on? I know I'm forgetful but first you have to know something to forget. I also know that doesn't make sense but that's the privilege of age. If you can't awe them with science, baffle em with BS.
Please, I want an Avatar too.
