How to get Celestia to load at a specific screen resolution?

I've figured out --fullscreen, but whenever Celestia loads it defaults to 1024x768x32 for it's screen res. I want to have Celestia remember that I want it to display at 1280x1024x32 so I don't have to change the display mode every time I lauch it.

I've search the FAQ, the documentation, these forums, and all of the configuration files I could think of. I haven't been able to find out where Celestia stores this setting, though.

Any helpful hints?

For the Windows version of Ceelstia, you can select the appropriate default fullscreen resolution in the menu Render/Select Display Mode...

It doesn't store that between sessions. That's my problem. I set it to 1280x1024x32 via that mechanism and the next time I load Celestia it defaults back to 1024x768x32.

That's strange. It works fine for me under XP. Every time I go to fullscreen mode, it sets the screen to whatever resolution I selected with that menu. That menu doesn't always show all of the resolutions that a monitor can support, but that's really an XP monitor database issue.

System:
512MB 2.4GHz P4; WinXP Pro, SP2
128MB 250MHz FX 5200, ForceWare 66.81
Celestia v1.3.2, v1.4.0pre6

I've experienced this too.

I think it does save it, if one goes to non-fullscreen mode prior to exiting. It definately should save all the time.

That did it. Thanks, Kolano. You're right, it should save on every exit, regardless of whether it is in fullscreen or windowed mode.
