Can they peacefully co-exist?

I am not sure exactly what you mean by co-exist, but if you mean can they both be installed together on one computer then they can co-exist, you can even have more than one of the same version. I have seven seperate Celestia 1.3.2's on my computer for all the different things I use them for! All you have to do is when you install the second one, specify it in a different directory to the first one. Eg. the first directory is named Celestia, the second is named Celestia2.
