De senaste veckorna har jag f?rs?kt ?vers?tta "Celestia User's Guide 1.3.2" till svenska. Den st?rsta delen av arbetet ?r redan klart men ?n saknas ?vers?ttningar av en del ord och uttryck. Problemet ?r att jag inte har hittat n?gra bra svenska motsvarigheter till de engelska originaluttrycken.

Det h?r ?r ?ven f?rsta g?ngen som jag f?rs?ker mig p? en s?dan h?r sak och tyv?rr tycker jag inte att resultatet h?ller s? h?g kvalitet att det kan l?ggas ut h?r p? den officiella webbplatsen. Jag hoppas ?nd? att n?gon kan hj?lpa mig med n?gra av de uttryck som saknas. Jag gissar att m?nga av dem redan har etablerade svenska motsvarigheter.

For the last weeks I?ve been trying to translate the Celestia User's Guide 1.3.2 to Swedish. Most of the work is already done, but I still have several words and expressions that aren?t translated. The problem is that I haven?t been able to find any Swedish words equivalent to the English original.

This is also the first time I have done something like this. Unfortunately I think, the result isn?t good enough to put here at the official website. Still, I hope that someone here want to help me with some of the missing expressions.

Hello, Tosv, and thank you for the work! Your translation will probably be very welcome for norwegian users, too.
... I will try to comment some of the expressions, but i?m not too fluent in written swedish, so you might want to check with a dictionary where in doubt.

I think "ringskugga" would work - or maybe "ringens skugga" is better...

The word should be "gr?nsmagnitud" or maybe "minimum/minsta apparenta magnitud", i think

... "maximum ljusstyrkav?rde" or something like that? "maximum/st?rsta magnitud v?rde/gr?ns"?

... this is untranslatable; you?ll need an entire sentence, i think. Maybe something like "stj?rnor med potensiella planetsystem" Or you could go with "planetsystemkandidat"...

I believe "Ljusf?rskjutning" is correct.

Unfortunately I haven?t been able to work on the translation for a couple of days (I?ve been too busy at my job).

If you want to have it, I can mail the translated User?s Guide to you so that you can read- and comment it.

Hello again!

After I?ve shown my translation for two of my friends, they encouraged me to put it at the Motherlode even if I feel that the quality of my translation is a little bit to bad for that. As i said, this is my first attempt to make a translation like this. I have still one word that I haven?t found a proper Swedish translation for, that word is "Celestial Grid" (anyone who knows?). The rest of the translation is now done.

So, I need some people to read- and comment my translation before i uplode it to the Motherlode.
