Feature request - show specified orbit

A very useful feature would be the possibility to view a specified orbit only. Lets say that I want to see the orbit of the Jupiter moon Io. The only way to do this today is to enable the Moons Orbits-options in the View Options menu. The problem is that this option shows the orbits for all moons and the screen becomes quite cluttered (even if the orbit for the choosen oject is colored red). This problem will increase as we discover more and more objects out there.

An easy (?) solution could be to have a new "Show this objects orbit"-option in each objects context-menu.

I ABSOLUTELY agree with this request.

Also, I think there should be a separate show option for the nebulas and the galaxies. When I want to see only the nebulas (not the galaxies and clusters), Celestia becomes painfully slow because of the hundreds of galaxies that appears on screen. Also, when I want to watch the galaxies, and not the nebulas, I get all the nebulas at the same time. Painfull !

Actually, I don't know how many galaxies I have.

What file do you have ? Where ?

Chams ideas seems to be great to me. A solution for the show-orbit-problem is absolutely necessary. Celestia need a more accurate and well-defined tool for selecting what?s shown on the screen.

The way it should work should be like this: There would be three options: no orbits at all, only show the current orbit, and show all orbits(with the current orbit being selected shown as the way it is right now). You should also be able to change the color (hopefully within the program, but even if not, at least in a configuration file) of the orbits.

It should be fairly simple to figure out. All that would have to be done is to change the current orbits settings to only display the orbit of the currently selected object.

I'm not sure many thousands thanks to Selden's cmod's...

No one responded to my object toggle request. Wouldn't anyone else like to be able to toggle object types individually, Cham already indicated that he would.
