Hi all...

Ulrich Dickmann (a.k.a. Adirondack) and myself have managed to put together
another SSC Guide for people who are new to Celestia. This guide is much
better than my previous effort (Thanks Ulrich) and can be had from my website
HERE.

Take care, Bob

Thanks Bob, the guide is very helpful. The boggle factor is still high in some places - I guess we can both boggle on together! 8O

ps. Oh! i was using Bob's plain vanilla .txt sscguide. This .pdf guide is great! Well done guys!

Very nice collaboration gents! :D

For this English version, is there any chance of converting the diagrams and graphics to English, which would be easier to understand than the sub-titles?

Congratulations on a great work.

Don,

it is easier for the user to learn this very few german words
than I would make diagrams with english words.
The diagrams are special features I put into the guide when
it was almost finished. Originally they were not intended.

Then you know also little German!

Let's do a little test (but don't check the guidance):
What means "Fr?hlingspunkt"?
I bet, you can translate it immediately. Don't you?

Now you even know a German word with the strange letter "?" !

Is it really so bad to look at the translated words underneath or beside the diagrams?

Hello, Bob
I have been looking forward to your new guide, but are having problems getting to it.

As it seems other people have no trouble, i think it is a problem of resolving the URL from where i am (buggy trans-atlantic connection, perhaps; my ISP has recently experienced some heavy problems with that). This might change, as i have never had problems visiting your site before.

But could you please post an alternate link? For example, the ip-address instead of the domain.

Thanks,

-rthorvald

Great Job guys!!!

The new guide is even better than the old one. Thanks a thousend times to Bob and Adirondack!
Well speaking for myself as a german i have to especially thank Adirondack for translating it. My english isn't too bad, but if you have to look up all the expressions first isn't as convenient as reading and understanding the ones in you native language.
And those Diagrams help with the explanation too.
Keep up the good work.

Rthorvald,

The problem is that I don't have a static IP address. This is apparently controlled
by Earthlink, and I have no control over it. Sorry. Have you had any luck lately?
If not, let me know, and I can send you the file via an e-mail attachment if that
would work?

Take care, Bob
