How to run on Mac OSX?

I have just downloaded the file celestria-1.2.2.dmg.gz and have expanded this to obtain celestia-1.2.2.dmg

When I double click this latter file, it opens in TextEdit - which is not very helpful

What do I need to do to get the application to run?

Do I need other files?

See if you can open the .dmg file using the "Disk Copy" application (in the Applications/Utilities folder). This should mount the disk image as a volume on your desktop. Open the new volume and you sould see the Celestia app. Copy it to your hard drive and double-click to start.
