1. Have Planets, Asteriods, Comets, etc. categorized in the Solor System browser. With the massive list of Comets and Asteroids, the SSB is getting a little crowded.
2. Binary stars (again)
3. Improved "drown-out" lighting effects. Better rendering of the sky when near the surface.
4. Ability to choose which orbits to display instead of all on or all off.
5. Procession of Earth's axis (unless its already there).

I agree with all of the above, but I'd like to suggest one more... when downloading, it would be nice to have the option of choosing a standard installation (like what it does now), and an advanced version which would also include the updates, add-ons and patches found in the forum and Bruckner's site (only the real ones though - fictional star systems and whatnot are all very well, but not everyone likes them).

I would like to see Celestia distro broken down into more parts. The binary, source and graphics should be in separate archives. That way it would be easy to update from one version to another.
Sure, the 10 meg archive isn't that big even with my pokey old modem, but the textures are a large amount of the archive and it seems wasteful to d/l them over and over again. Maybe this way someone could package a low res and high res texture package to best match your computer's capabilities.

Acutally this is also something I'd like to see too. Except the files would be Source, Full Install, and Update. Update only has files the were modified in the latest release (or since a certain release, say 1.2.0 for example).
