It would be nice if at a key-press the viewing direction would be flipped "backwards". That would e.g. allow finding your home city on the Earth and then by pressing a button see the sky as it would be seen from that position. Perhaps this is already possible, but I couldn't figure out how.

You seem to be describing the "look backward" command.

Shift + 8 (which is the same as "*")
