flight path of space crafts

Post #1by Sternenfaenger » 27.12.2003, 12:33

Hi. I'd like to know if there's a way to visualize a space crafts path (e.g. ESA's Mars Express).
I know that you can use TLE data which can be transformed to SSC format but I think that TLE and thus SSC just describe orbital objects, so it is not possible just just to get a simple line in Celestia's space as an Orbit (path) (?)

Does anybody know where to get orbital data of Mars Express ?

Xyz files are used to plot spacecraft trajectories. Here is a thread and an image of Jack's beautiful Galileo xyz.
Jack has also apparently created an xyz of the cruise phase of Mars Express - see this thread.
