Need some Celestia Help

I used to be able to get one of these, but they dont happen anymore. I've seen them in many screenshots, and I'd like to know how to get them too.
Reflection from the earth's oceans, and rings casting shadows on the surface of the planet. I remember the ring shadow happening before, but I cant find it anymore.

I'm using Celestia 1.31 pre11.

Make sure you have the newest version of your video cards drivers installed. Quite often Windows will dump a driver in favor of it own low level drivers. This will make allot of Celestia's features not work. If you installed a newer version of Direct X lately you will need to reinstall your video drivers. In any version of Windows always install your video drivers after you install Direct X. Also try toggling through the various rendering modes. Hold down the "control" key and hit hit the "v" key. this will turn the various rendering levels, pixel shaders vertex shaders on and off and in conbinations. Hope this helps.

Ring Shadows may also be turned On and Off via the Render menu, View Options dialog. You might check to make sure it is checked there.

For some reason with my video card, Saturn's shadow casts fine against its rings, but the rings have more difficulty casting their shadow against Saturn.. that is to say, it never happens. I've seen it in screenshots also.. oh well. :)

If you're using Linux make sure you have the correct OpenGL Render Path selected.

Have you downloaded any new textures latley :?:

Some Earth Textures do not have the spec map built into the texture
and require you to add it separately.
