Can the orbit display function display orbits of other objects, i.e., asteroids and comets? I can only get it to display planetary orbits unless I specifically select an object

Art,

In the current version of Celestia (up though v1.3.1pre4, anyhow), the only "permanently" displayed orbits are those of planets and moons.

If you want to see the orbits of many comets and asteroids at once, you'll have to edit their .SSC files and change their "Class" to be "moon".

Sorry.

Or, if you want to see the object's orbit but still see a comet tail too...

1. copy the ssc
2. change the new object to be class "moon"
3. set it's radius to 0 so you can't see it

Now you still see the original object, but also the orbit!
