When i type a time in the box over a few hundred years
it goes back to present day. Am i doing something wrong?
Also when i go back in time using the keys it gets to about 5 million
years then reverses itself going forward im time. I thought the
user's guide said you can go back into time billions of years.

No, Microsoft is. The calendar changed in 1752 and Microsoft's date/time input routines can't handle it. I just added this to the FAQ.

Someone else will have to answer your other question: I dunno.
