It's the earth defined as a comet instead of a planet!

...

Right?

Ah- i know! You've put the moon right behind the earth, and defined the moon as a comet!! That's why the tail isn't so big, and in front of the earth!

No. Jack was near. i was trying to make a model entering the atmospherem showing the fire of the friction, but it didnt work. with a very small object, the tail is still too big.
when i was testing, i rotated the obectj and i got to this image. thats all.

now, is there a possibility of making the flames coming out from a model entering the atmosphere? like the shuttles and apollos?

Nope, currently the only thing like this is comet tails, and those are blue (as i'm sure you've noticed! ) You'd need a pretty elaborate ssc to have it coming out from behind the craft anyway, as opposed to straight towards the earth...

So basically- no you can't do it with the current version of Celestia. Sorry...
