i have an idea and i think that i am not the first one that thinks about it:
i know about the posibility of placing objects near the surface of a planet, and make them stay allways there(sojourner, apollo11, etc), so maybe its a good idea to put a very small object(empty.3ds?) on, for example, Washington DC, called "Washington DC". with this it will be very easy to find places on earth.
if someone wants to see where baghdad is, he can write "baghdad" and he will dirctly go to there.

what do you think about it?

the only problem is that on eartrh there are too many places, but we can start with not so much, just important places.

Thats a pretty good idea, except there would be some contraversy over what places would be "important"
