Celestia Fan-Made Trailer

Post #1by MrSpace43 » 12.11.2021, 22:27

So yesterday, I had made a custom fan-made trailer for Celestia because of 2 reasons:
-It is something I have been wanting to do for a while to so that Celestia can become more well-known.
-I discovered a piece of music, that pretty much seemed to fit such a video perfectly.

Here's the video itself. Let me know what you think:

Very nice, well done.
Just a little suggestion: given the high quality of this work, I would suggest you to chenge the texture of the liliac planet visible at 2:04 to 2:11, that's really terrible, at least IMHO.
Bye.

Unfortunately, I can't really do anything about it because of the red dwarf lighting that is present.

By the way that's Gliese 581 b.

Cosmic Scale Productions in the comment section of the video is correct, this really should be the official trailer for celestia

we just need consent from seven

I chose this music because I didn't feel like what Celestia had was really anything too intense, rather than something soothing and relaxing; and I had discovered that piece of music on the same day, and I felt it would be fit for such a video. Of course you don't have to agree with the music choice. We are all entitled to opinions, and that's fine.

Looks great. We could possibly put these videos on App Stores too. But we will need videos in specific resolutions.

Ok so I found out that this morning, YouTube (without my permission) added a card at the start of the video (located at the top-right) where it suggests that you watch "Sweet Victory" from SpongeBob, and I can't figure out how to remove it. Hopefully this issue will be resolved because nobody here (as far as I know) wants to listen to a SpongeBob song. They want to see videos of our 3D space simulator Celestia.

No it isn't an advertizement. It is this little card icon at the top-right of the screen.
This needs to stop.png

Update: It's now on Vimeo:

Update on the "Sweet Victory" dillema: the recommendation that YouTube put in by itself without my permission is gone. The problem has been solved.
