Some help on NVIDIA Cards settings

I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 card, with 128 MB RAMDAC in a PC with Athlon 2.7 GHz, 1 Gb 333 MHz RAM, working under WIN XP HOME Sp1.

Looking at the NVIDIA MEDIA CENTER, i.e. the NVIDIA card settings facility, I think I have done the right adjustments, with the exception of the Accuview Antialiasing Settings, for which I have many doubts.
There are the following options:
Controlled Application
2X
Quincunx Antialiasing (tm)
4X
6X (Direct3D only)
Enable Texture Sharpening.

I have setted ON both 4X and Enable Texture Sharpening, but I have absolutely no idea if this is the best or not for my configuration.
Some help, please?
Thank you very much.

You should choose the "Quincunx" mode for the best performance vs. quality ratio. In 4x AA mode, 90% of current 3d software will run much too slow. Of course, I am assuming you select resolutions of 1024x768 or more, as anything less would look too bad even with AA.

P.S.: Your Athlon is "Model 2700", not @ 2.7 GHZ. Unless you are heavily overclocking it, that is... Oh, and the 128MB is called "memory" not RAMDAC, that one is probably 350Mhz in your config.

It would be a good idea to check out some tutorials about graphics on the web, it really helps to know a thing or two about how stuff works. Try reading some of the very good articles at http://www.tomshardware.com and trust Google for any other info you may need...

OK Don, thank you.
I'll stay with 4X.

Hello, Anonimous.
Yes, I use a 1024x768 video resolution at 32 bit, and yes, I know that my processor (that's exactly an AMD Athlon XP 2700+) is a 2.17 GHz and not a 2.7 GHz. But you surely know that benchmarks (and this is the reason of the "2700") gave as result that its overall speed (including all the differencies existing between the two processor types) is "comparable" to the one of an Intel 2.6- 2.7 GHz processor.
It's only a matter of words, nevertheless.
You are right regarding the RAM.
I'll read the articles you suggested me.
