Now Celestia works very well with my Ati card too. Thank you very much! 
There's only a little bug in release 1.3.0pre5: by default you have to delete " IgnoreGLExtensions [ "GL_ARB_vertex_program" ] " in Celestia.cfg file to see bump mapping and specular.
Just a question: where can i find an earth bump map in dds format?
