Best Solar System Planet Textures and/or Models?

Is there any uniform opinion on which are the best, most detailed planet textures and/or models to download? Surface features, text labels of the most interesting features, etc? Or combination of downloads for each planet? I’d like to explore hires features of the planetary surfaces. Also, the most detailed and colorful maps of the gas giants with moving clouds, etc. and of course all this applies to the planetary moons as well.

On a previous Celestia from years ago that somehow got deleted, I remember having much more detailed maps and details than I do now.

Be well all.

https://www.deviantart.com/fargetanik

you ned to become a member to download the fullres textures
if you need to you can use a photo editing program and downsize them
because some are about 16k res and some PCs can't handle that kind of resolution sadly

I would definitely recommend FarGetaNik's Project Echoes, like above.

I am also interested in finding a library of images with planet textures. I just want to find a realistic, and not just a misunderstanding drawn by someone. Previously, there were such textures that you look and understand - someone was not too talented drawing. I want textures that are taken from real photos.

Maybe the USGS Astropedia can help: https://astrogeology.usgs.gov/search
Some mosaics there have file sizes in the gigabytes, so try saving some space for those!

Sorry If I am necro posting, but I recommend CO (Celestia Origins) It takes a while to unpack but it is worth it (BitTorrent deals with CO quite quickly!)

no, it's just a re-analysis of the old data. No new textures are being produced.

That's just Kexitt's Pluto texture but edited. The original textures can be found here:

Been into Astronomy since the age of 3 or 4. Started making planetary textures back in late 2016. 3D animator who makes high quality animations in Cinema 4D. Likes to sometimes, deliberately torment myself with the stupid green screaming apatosaurus that is Arlo.
