I recently downloaded Celestia 1.2.5 for MAC OSX (I'm running 10.2.1) and installed it.
From what I have heard from a PC and Linux user - there are many features in their 1.2.5 that are missing from the same version for MAC OSX, for example, there are many menu option NOT available om my MAC version that are available otherwise.
Is this correct? Should all 1.2.5 versions be the same for all platforms?
thanks,
Kevin Nolan.
Celestia 1.2.5 same on MAC OSX as on Win and Linux?

The versions of Celestia for different platforms are advancing at different rates (mainly due to the availability of developer time, or lack thereof) and are not identical, although the Linux (KDE) and Windows versions are pretty close. The Mac OS X port of Celestia is presently farthest behind. Hopefully it will catch up with the other versions in due course. But right now it is very much a work in progress, and (as noted in the README file) the currently available version should be considered an early alpha intended for testers. Perhaps it was a mistake to make an unfinished version generally available, but I felt that an incomplete version was better than nothing, and I would have wanted to have it myself. The eventual goal is for the Mac version to be equivalent to the others in functionality, but this will take time. Please be patient, or better yet, join the developer team and help out.
