About Celestia Image Quality

Celestia EP developed by Alexell adds very beautiful vision star flare and new orbit style. :clap:

This is a huge improvement in Celestia's image quality. And the screenshots of Celestia EP are also used on the homepage of Celestia's website. Why not keep it in the new version? (Attach some very beautify screenshots of some plugins made by Celestia friends)

Unless I have a different or weak graphics card, it could be the problem that you mentioned: That it's not properly there in 1.7.0

Original EP patch is lost I suppose. We plan to implement a better way but we need a texture.

I also keep the patch for Celestia EP.
I don't find any texture of star flare from Celestia EP.exe and Celestia's folder. It seems like program generates.

Unless I have a different or weak graphics card, it could be the problem that you mentioned: That it's not properly there in 1.7.0

My HD 3000 graphics card runs Celestia EP, the star flare will turn into a white square, I think this problem may be similar to your problem.

Oh I had that same problem too, if you switch "Star Type" to dots, and not add opengl32.dl into your file

I'm wondering if the star rendering can be added - it's been a long time, but those stars still look amazing.

I would like to see the return of the diffraction grating.
Much more visually appealing - could be toggled on/off, similar to how it toggled with the "Points" mode in Alexell's 1.7.
