Jupiter Clouds. What changes to solarssys.ssc?

Post #1by alan » 22.02.2003, 16:06

I have experienced no difficulties with amending the ssc for other add-ons, but it is not clear what changes or additions to the ssc are required to enable the jupiter-clouds.png to work. Help please.

If you're referring to Matt McIrvin's file, you should read the readme.txt file that comes with it.
In part it says:
Installation
------------

Put jupiter-clouds.png in the textures/medres folder inside your
Celestia folder. Then make a backup copy of data/solarsys.ssc
just in case, and edit data/solarsys.ssc to add the following
lines under "Jupiter" "Sol", just after the line that says
"Oblateness 0.064":

Atmosphere {
CloudHeight 50
CloudSpeed 200
CloudMap "jupiter-clouds.png"
}

Thanks Grant. I have the Textfoundry file which did not come with any help. The solution you suggested works fine.
