There seems to be something wrong with the forum.
Several days ago, just after it was started, this thread announcing the new forum design just disappeared suddenly soon after it was started: https://celestia.space/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=17916
So, I started a new thread to make some further contributions to the discussion in the "Celestia Users" forum.
I can't give a link to that thread however, because today I can no longer find THAT thread, however the original thread is back.
I think an admin needs to investigate why whole threads are playing magic disappearing tricks a couple of days after they are created.

December 15, 2017 in the topic New Celestia Website and new Forum design was discovered spam - an advertising message.
The removal of spam occurred incorrectly. The spam message was deleted along with the entire topic. There were no deleted messages in the Recycle Bin.
According to Alexell, he can not re-write the topic, regrets that the comments will be gone, and the date of the topic will be different ...
We will have to roll back the database to the state on December 15, 2017 03:00. Everything that happened on the forum after that disappears.
It is sad.
December 17, 2017 at 04:00 for technical reasons, the database was rolled back. The database was restored.
It was necessary to completely folder the forum, too, to roll back to backup on December 15, 2017 03:00. Sorry for what happened.

Thanks Croc,
I've tried to re-post from memory most of my comments from the deleted thread in the original thread here: https://celestia.space/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=17916&p=137552#p137552
Hope that not too much else was lost.
