Hello arkajit, I had the same problems for the same final use of Celestia, so I'll try to give you some help.
First of all go to this page
http://www.celestiaproject.net/celestia/documentation.html
and download the file "scripting guide".
Then copy the Celestia file "start.cel" in another directory, and look at its scripting referred to the instructions of the scripting guide.
You'll have this way a sufficiently clear understanding of the matter, even if some new commands have been added recently but not yet shown in the guide, just for an example the command "orientation".
Try to make some little changes to the start.cel file, and after this look at the results starting Celestia with that file.
If you'll have the need of it, I can send you an example of a new start.cel file, that shows the Solar System as an "Orrery", with reduced orbits and increased planet sizes, just to show it in its complex relationship.
Remember that you can change many things, objects, orbits, dimensions, but you must have in the lores and medres directories the exact files that are shown in the Solarsys.ssc file, regarding every object you'll use in the show.
Hope this will help.
