New here, so maybe this was covered before but I can't find it.
Text comes out as unreadeble blocks. How do I rectify it?

It's a Widows 7 system on a bottom of the range HP laptop. I downloaded the program last week and English is the default language.

The first thing to try is to update the graphics drivers to the most recent version available. Check both the site of the company that made the graphics hardware (probably Intel, but perhaps AMD or Nvidia) and HP's support site for your particular laptop model.

I remember, and since we didn't hear from you since then, I'm assuming you solved it.
So how did you resolve it Hungry? ... yes, we're "hungry 4 info: from you!
Perhaps if you report your solution in one or both of these threads, a third thread will not be required the next time someone buys a new laptop.
(Assuming the next person knows how to search the forum... )
