Hi
Certainly Celestia did crash after initialization. It did run before and I had just added a downloaded user content. Had no clue, what's wrong now. I deinstalled, reinstalled, used old version. I got 1.3 to run, but not 1.5.1.
Then I looked at my Ati Catalyst Control Center, hoping to find a clue, what maybe wrong. I used the button set back to factory settings, cause I couldn't find out what could cause the crash. I use the latest drivers 8.612.
Now the best thing, Celestia works again.
I can't tell which setting changed, there are so many. Maybe anti aliasing, but it was certainly nothing really important for my system. I was just playing around some time ago to make a game look better, go faster, whatever. Unfortunately with Ati software its not possible to set different settings for each program like with Nvidia software.

A better solution for Celestia crashing in Vista is to use Ubuntu instead.
