undocumented shortkeys

Hello

Apparently, Celestia keeps a log of different positions affected.

PgDn key returns to the previous positions and the PgUp key browses the history in the other direction.
I do not remember seeing these shortkeys documented somewhere.

Are there other cool features like that undocumented?

First time I heard that! This is quite nice feature indeed! Too bad it is mapped to keys not available on all keyboards... (Mac laptop for instance)

Well, this was a new feature of 1.5.x.
I'm sure this was described somewhere in the forums.

Edit: Ah, here: http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10219

In the rthorvald's very nice HTML help file found here
http://www.celestialmatters.org/users/rthorvald/guide/
There are two shortcuts Cmd+] and Cmd+[ that don't work with Windows.
Could these be the missing shortcuts for Mac?

Yep, they do work, but I also found the up page down page on the Mac laptop keyboard: fn + up arrow, fn + down arrow... much simple...

This guide is nice, it should be a bit more visible... (sticky, link in web site etc...)

No, it should not be, or perhaps it should? This is a first shot at the new help page for Celestia 1.6.1. It is composed of a few different input files (README and key assignement). It is mostly up to date, but not finished. So, I at least am quite reluctant to have it made sticky. The work on it has been slowed down, and I don't think it will be finished for 1.6.0.

We are still thinking about how to group the keys that are OS dependant and cross check the input files. There will be an update, but I can't say when.

So, be patient and wait for the final release, or use at your own risk

Guckytos

One idea; on top of the keys, a message saying something like: "Keys for Laptop keyboards are in red", then after and actual entry, just add in red the shortcut. That won't make the stuff longer or more complicated to browse and the laptop users will spot at first glance the specific keys for their config. Eventually you can dev a color code depending on platforms too...
