hello everyone, im new here. I have a few questions
does the geforce 2 mx card support specular maps?

my card only has 32 MB but when i have earthnight.dds no night lights show even with night lights on, when using an 8k earth, but earthnight.jpg works

Yes you can see speculars with the GeForce2 MX series cards.
As for the night lights problem. It sounds like you are just running out of memory. The dds file is probably a size that is not giving you enough memory to play with. For now stick to the jpg version of the nightside lights texture.
