Is there any way for a Celestia user to adjust the abruptness of the terminator line?
The issue arose because I was looking at the Celestia view of the earth in real time and noticed that my location was in darkness, when in fact the sun had not yet set. Then I realized that the problem seemed to be that Celestia's terminator shadow is much wider than in reality. As pictures of the earth taken from distant space show, the terminator is actually quite abrupt. The same applies to the moon. The moon that is shining over my house this evening has a very sharp. abrupt terminator compared to what shows in Celestia.
Again my question: Is there a way for the user to fine tune this? If not, I hope a more realistic terminator will be a consideration for future Celestia versions. That having been said, I am otherwise so impressed with Celestia that it is the first software to which I would apply the adjective "thrilling."
