Can't figure out how to install this particular add-on

Hello,

I downloaded several educational add-ons (http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... ator_id=62) made by one Frank Gregorio, namely the first one, and the life and death of stars one. What I really need, is ten sentences saying "put these files here. Put those there.", not the how and why. I just want to know where to put stuff, and how to turn it on. Or is there a program that lets you feed it add-ons which the program installs?

I read the help file for installing, but it doesn't cover half of the file types present in the downloaded add-ons.

Hi. The text on the educational web page itself explains exactly how to install the Activities. To answer your question more specifically:

1. You must first download, unzip and click on the main Windows program installer file named "Celestia151-ED-Win.zip. Once unzipped and clicked on, it will install Celestia151-ED onto your computer on the C:/Program Files drive in a sub-folder/directory named "Celestia151-ED". The path will be: C:/Program Files/Celestia151-ED.

2. Download and unzip the next file which is called the "Educational Base Package.zip". Unzip it directly into (or drag its unzipped files into) the Celestia151-ED main folder. Allow it to overwrite files.

3. Download and unzip one or more "educational activity.zip files". Unzip it/them directly into (or drag its files into) the Celestia151-ED main folder. Allow them to overwrite files.

When you've installed all of the Activity files you wish, navigate to the "Educational-Activities" folder inside Celestia151-ED, and you will find the individual Activity documents in MS Word format. Double-click to open one of your choice and follow the instructions in the Activity to launch Celestia151-ED from WITHIN the activity document.

Everything should go smoothly. :)

Alternatively, you can obtain all of the Activities and Celestia151-ED program on a convenient self-installing CD or DVD, for a nominal fee. No downloading, unzipping or sequential directory installation is needed. That is available at: http://www.gregs-educational.info

Let me know if you are still having problems.

Regards

Frank

Found it, seems simple enough. Thanks for the help! If I can now force it in 1080p on my TV, I'll be laughing. :)
