Is there a way to save .cel files in Vista? Notepad won't permit me to save without "administrator" permission even though I am the so-called administrator, and the ".cel" just doesn't seem to be an availabler option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to put my XP files on my new Vista machine and having this major problem.

It takes a while to get used to and set up correctly, but you can indeed save CEL files to your Celestia directories. If you like, you can set up all of the permissions, but it is a real pain in the Wazoo to do. Rather, try saving the CEL files to a neutral folder (One you have created yourself) then, move it back to the Celestia directory of choice.

I also use a program called Notepad2 for all of my excursions into text... It's very nice, and it's freeware. Just do a Google search for it.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Thanks, Bob

I suggest to not install Celestia to Vista's program folder.
Just install Celestia to C:\Celestia or D:\Space\Celestia or something similar and everything will work fine.
