i've seen that dev c++ use an add-on that allow updates of the soft and it have the advantage that we can update what we want.

this add-on can be easily configure to use it with celestia

I am sure you can tell us, how this tool updates the Linux and MaC-OS versions of Celestia. Remember Celestia is multi-platform software...
