Danielj, I wonder why you open this kind of thread...
All I have read about you since I'm here were post about you-and-your-config; ok it will sound a bit crude, but perso I REALLY don't care about your config... If at least you were active in any way, ok... but nope...

Danielj, please stop bothering the world with such uninteresting news; instead if you rrreeaaallly have no skills at all with the Celestia related stuff, you could post some shots of your location or tell us about anything else that could be interesting for someone...

I must agree totally with ElChristou. Please DanielJ, do something different, for the love of God !

I DID contribute,at least I try...I point to bugs, tried to do a normal map using a script, comment about astronomical stuff and even try to did a texture of Ceres, remember? But no one cares very much, and, unfourtanetelly I didn??t have many artistic habilities.Sorry to complain too much.
I will post less if will be pleased.
But my focus in hardware is because we have a lot of "smart" people having computers humilliating others paying almost NOTHING because it is from Paraguay or from another illegal place. And this really annoys me...
Anyone Celestia with dual or more cores is a NEW FRONTIER and any report about this could be useful.By the way,I didn??t have any compatibility problems with dual core,at least until now.I know that someone that ALSO had an Athlon64 X2 3800 have problems in getting near the planets or in erratic passage of time, for example...

Ow, danielj, just continue to post your technical notes if you like. It is up to anybody to choose if they like to read it or not... That is what the Users Forum is for is it not?

Anyhow, keep up with your contributions!

Is Paraguay illegal now?

Remember too, that I'm Brain-Dead Bob, and I manage to
communicate with all these "smart" people okay. It's your attitude
that counts, not your brains. Try to focus on someone besides
Danielj for a while, and you might get some more cooperation.

Danielj sometimes bothers me also, but let us be fair, he did (at least... I think he did) create a Ceres texture once. I would suppose that counts as a contribution.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM

To recall... Just for fun, do not worry. You have as CPU one soccer team which now, in Champions League play good; 2 GB RAM directly from Kingston (Jamaica) surely very dinamic town; a Grand Tourism graphic card (the last one driven by me was an Alfa Romeo) and two, not one, Barracuda fishes notoriously fast and furious animals. I think to be a nice upgrade.
Never at rest.
Massimo
