I just like to suggest a great site for find 3D models of a lot of space aircraft, including the Shuttle; the site is:

The "only" necessary tihng would be find all the necssary dates and info about these and to put them as an add-on or a program feature.
Of course here you will also find (and download for free!) other models, that should be very interesting using in the next versions of Celestia, such as Nebulae and Galaxies...have a look at:

Just one question Chris: do you think that in the new releases i will also find the particular effects (as vertex shading or the shadow of Saturn's rings) working with my video card? I own a Geforce 2 GTS with 32 Mb RAM. You wrote some time ago that probably the code for these particular operations would be added...
