Custom colors in Celestia would make it more beautiful

I think it might be good to people that like to create fantasy planetary and star systems to choose fictional colors, not only the colors of blackbody temperature. With add-ons having fictional star colors, I think Celestia would be something more interesting and beautiful in some way.

For example: I'm creating a fictional star system in a Etheral ( paralell ) universe. This fictional etheral universe is a place that we go after death, it's the spirit world, and have many similarities with our own Universe, but also have some differences, as there are more

kinds of stars in there, like green, purple, brown, and other beautiful colors that our physical brains aren't capable to create.

If I put this system as an add-on having a star cluster with custom colors or as a very bright hypernova-like and distant green star, it would make Celestia more beautiful, at least in my point of view.

I think this configuration would be good:

"Audbeyon"
{
RA 0
Dec 0
Distance 12500
SpectralType "A"
AppMag 5
CustomColor [ 0 0.75 0.25 ]
}

What I want is not only custom colors of stars, but also the color that reach the planet to be the same custom color.
Example: The star is a strong green in color, so the planet would tend to be greener, as cool stars are red and planets in Celestia appear redder.

This would be interesting to be in the next release of Celestia. And I think it's not that difficult to make this, because these custom colors shouldn't depend on temperature, so probably the calculations should be more simple.

What do you think about this? It will be done in the next releases? Keep in mind that this new option related to stars will make Celestia richer and more attractive in some way, and that fantasy add-on makers will love this idea.

The idea is good, since is coherent with the color spectrum, whereas surely beetwen the red and the blue there is the yellow and the yellow + blue toward the green, how you can see as ray that the sun cast on the horizon when does it set on a blue sea. Only that, as conceptual framework for Celestia development, there is the according with the science than the SCI-FI; nevertheless you can texturize your word with the colors you like. This is an option leaved to the user; not to the program's key. These latter manouvre your paces.

There has been a lot of debate in some forum threads recently (or even months or years ago) about whether star textures in Celestia should be more realistic and black body color-like. Personally, I like the old textures better, though black body star textures are on the line for version 1.7.0.

You have the full capability to define a custom texture for your star in the .stc file for it. Otherwise, you can replace the textures (astar.jpg, bstar.jpg, ostar.jpg, etc...) with some that you like.

You realize that you bumped a topic that is over 11 years old, right?
