hallo,
for my church group I am looking for a easy to use solar system flythrough software that allows to elucidate dimensions, proximities etc.. Before I download the celestia software I woud like to know in advance if this will be of any help to us.
Besides is there any freeware around where you can evolve the cloudless globe (hires textures) and view and zoom down to any place on the surface (something like a software 3d globe)? Any help is greatly appreciated,

I don't understand what you're looking for exactly, but you can fly through the entire solar system with high resolution textures, where you can zoom in to any place on earth or other planets and moons. If you want a real flyby along all the planets to the outer solar system you'll have to make a script for yourself.
