I'm looking for the French Keychart of the Celestia keyboard, like the one available (in English) at the Motherlode :
http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... ation.html
I know it exist because I saw a printed version last semester. But I need the PDF version. Any info on that ?

Vincent,
maybe this is it, but I'm not sure about the vivid colors. I mean, I think it was exactly like the English version, but in French. I'm not sure, maybe this is it.
Where does it come from ? Why it isn't on the Motherlode ?

Thanks (Merci !).
The Black/White version is much better. However, I think that the file I saw two months ago was better made : exactly the same design as the English version, but in French. I'm not sure it's the same file as the one on the site above, but I may be wrong.

I had no idea about the existence of these keytables and therefore had a look at the English version for the first time.
I immediately asked myself why these tables display a full model of the keyboard besides explaining the meanings of the respective keys?? Is this for people who might not know where to find the respective keys on the keyboard?
. (ENDUSERS?)
Also the various groups of keys like e.g. time setting ones were displayed in a particular color. The result being an almost random distribution of these colored keys over the keyboard
. So why was that done in the first place, given that there is ABSOLUTELY no underlying systematics ?

Like you said, this chart is for endusers, and mostly to students. The colors may help them to find rapidly the right keys. I need a chart like this to distribute a copy to each of my students, in an introductory astronomy course. It's usefull to them.
(by the way Fridger, have you received my email ?).

Cham,
yes, I did. But in order to really evaluate your questions and claims in depth, I need to spend at least a couple of hours on the issue. These I do not have right now, unfortunately. I have explained to you my reasons why other things have higher priority for me.
There are a few observations I could make earlier about your previous mail ("The proof") which I may communicate to you. Your proof does not surprise me, in fact.

I just noticed that the keyboard shown on that keymap isn't even a "QWERTY" keyboard ! This isn't the French "keychart" I saw few months ago.
Someone has info on another French keychart ?

Cham,
as you already discovered, these charts are not what you are looking for.
I did add the NASA-keychart to the CML since this chart is part of the
NASA's (somewhat official) educational stuff.
If you have found a french keychart you like, just drop me a line and I will add
it to the documentations page on the CML.
