Server troubles

We're having some stormy weather here in the Pacific Northwest, and it's causing intermittent power outages. A power loss was responsible for shatters.net being offline earlier, and it's quite possible that we'll see some more downtime over the next 24 hours.

Well, I didn't expect that . . . I live right in the city of Seattle, but just spent the last five days without power. I hated having shatters.net down for so long, but there wasn't much that could be done. If the outage had been longer, I would have physically moved the machine to another address and reconfigured my DNS. Fortunately, it didn't come to that.

And I was thinking this kind of situation only happens in country like Paraguay!

Thanks a lot the server is back. I am checking the posts in Celestia forum every day, with the server off it was like a suddenly broken off my daily routine.

I'm just glad to see that you're ok Chris. And I'm happy that you have your power back. A few weeks ago we had a pretty bad ice storm here in the St. Louis area, and one of my friends at work didn't get their power back for like a week. On the other hand, I never lost my power once ^^;

It is good to see that things are up and running again. I know how much fun it is to be without power. I had 4 days without it last March when we got 3 feet of snow.
