Hi, could i ask the functionality of Shift+C, i mean what is it for exactly, because even if it is interesting use it i dont understand compared to the explanation in help controls:

Shift+C : Center/orbit--center the selected object without changing the
position of the reference object.

i see that the referenced object stay in the center of screen and do not move and the selected object seems to go behind the first one.
I tried it with Saturn as referenced object and any of his moons selected.

Hope he question is clear.
Thank's for all your answers.

What you describe is exactly what should be happening.

I usually use the mouse to move the foreground object (e.g. Cassini) away from the center of the screen so that the object being centered by the C command can be seen beyond the previous object and is not hidden behind it.

ok Selden i see what you mean.

infact using how i did has no much sense because Saturn is bigger then his moons then it covers them.

i just was using the control in wrong context (way).
another question please?
the keys PgUp and PgDown seems to reset to the previous... last position?
or something like these?
i did not find the explanation of these keys.

thank you very much Selden.

Sorry, I never use the page up/down keys. I agree they don't seem to work in reasonable ways.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago ,
see:

the page-up/down keys work as a stack for "changes" in contex,
through which one can walk using the keys.
its output is (for me at least) sometimes surprising :)

This is a new feature in the coming 1.5.0 (W32).
