My poor mac won't run it though...grrr.

My poor Mac won't run it either. Linuxman's 2001 works fine (but slow), but if I try his ISS, Celestia just crashes. So I use your lovely model instead. Your "meagre effort" isn't wasted. :D

@Starman17
You'll notice the ISS link selden gave you is exactly the same link I already posted.

@john Van Vliet
Your ISS screenshots would look much nicer with anti-aliasing.

Well, I'm absolutely in love with Linuxm@n's ISS, so here some screenshots from his last release.
These .jpg images size has been reduced to 1280x768 pixel and their quality to 5/12, in order to reach the size limit allowed here, but seeing them on a 1920x1200 screen is a truly astonishing experience, at least for me and my students.
Believe me, this addon is a resource sucker, but it's worth all the RAM you can buy for it. :wink:
More images in the next message.
Enjoy!

Thank you bh, you are very welcome.
I'm sorry that you cannot use it in your MAC, but I hope that in the future Linuxm@n will rationalize it, reducing the weight of the addon, so allowing you to enjoy it. :blue:
I hope this for you.
Bye

Caught a moon conjunction on Belle Hades in real time earlier "today" (yesterday now, since it's past midnight :lol: ). Not that often that happens. :)

Plus the suns were at maximum apparent separation, making this even rarer. :)

Hi Goofy... it's a 'stand alone' add-on taken from Linuxm@n's ISS.

I can post the ssc if you like. I'm using a seperate ssc for the payload ( a choice of four).

You can extract them from the ISS model and set them up in their own folders in extras-standard.
regards...bh.

Hi bh, thank you for the reply.
Yes, I'm sure it's contained in the ISS addon, but I tried all the cel files and didn't find it anywhere.
May be that one of the many xyz file included there takes care of the Shuttle from the launch?
Please be so kind to add here the ssc file (shuttle with closed doors only, I have all the orbiting stuff with open doors), so I'll be able to understand where it is. :oops:
Thank you very much.

Please remember that this thread is for showing screengrabs of views within Celestia, not for photographs of the real world. There are other forums for that.

A picture of a model of the car in Celestia would be fine, of course.

I was wondering what else to add to it. In one version I have space suited engineers standing on the hull.

Here are some more screenshots I've taken. (probably similar to things seen hundreds of times before, but hopefully not too boring)

Edit: Damn ImageShack resized my originals after a few weeks for some unknown reason - from 1920x1080 to 800x450 - all except this one: (?!)

mr_a500,

Applause!

You are one of very few, giving proper credit to the work of others. I wish I'd see more of this.

Well, the only thing I can take credit for is the camera angle. I'm just the cameraman. (...and it's not even my camera :D )
