Been into Astronomy since the age of 3 or 4. Started making planetary textures back in late 2016. 3D animator who makes high quality animations in Cinema 4D. Likes to sometimes, deliberately torment myself with the stupid green screaming apatosaurus that is Arlo.

nice usage of Astra's crater brushes, came out real nice, one question though if you don't mind, is this color the spectra derived color? (haven't looked at Makemake's spectra derived color's in a very long time)MrSpace43 wrote:My take on what Makemake looks like:
There is a limit to how far we can travel into the stars.

since ive never posted here, i might as well do a massive image dump of some screenshots ive captured...

Well I would like to simulate that FEELING and it is fantastic to have an exoplanet texture (even if it is just a fantasy).
I would rather not have this feeling than try doing this with data where absolutely no information can be found, and any information found is completely fictitous.
I would rather speculate as to what a planet may look like (hence Project Sisyphus) instead of trying to find any evidence for what it looks like in places where there is no evidence.
no more science papers

The rings I made on my own. Probably will make them a little less opaque. Sorry about not including a haze.
As far as the GG texture; I had one originally for this planet, but it got deleted. HOWEVER, I still had a picture of it in a planetary line-up for a related art/book project. So, using GIMP, I selected a pole to pole section, ran it thru GG, and there it is. I also found out (from the program creator,) it's often best to stop GG from completing the process. He said it goes from really ugly, to really nice, to really crazy and ugly by the end of it. So, I started doing that and have been very happy with what is coming out. (I guess that's my tip for using GG).
I was worried it looks too much like Saturn.
