It came from the news a few years ago, where the image was to illustrate the typical size/weight of many North American kids these days...

Japan, the land of healthy sushi, is selling this supermassive monster called the "Mega Mac":

At almost 700 calories each, they are well, inspirational. Having 1 or 2 every day is just what we devs need to launch Celestia into version 1.5, no 2.0! Although you'll more likely turn into a Sumo wrestler within a week instead...

Amateur. You of course turn the thing on its side and eat it like it was a corncob. To attain the sumo-status quicker, just apply butter in the same way, too...

Actually, the Maga Mac is listed at 750 calories per "burger". If you have fries and a 20 oz coke, your meal = a WHOPPER 1,400 calories.

BARF!!!!!

Back on topic, As much as a hate to see a project taken out the the hand or diverted by other members, I have to agree that perhaps there should be a 1.5.0 release without Chris approval. I have see other project fall because of absent of update and to a lesser degree of the year and a half hiatus then Celestia.

I know that Celestia tries to be as accurate as possible and I support that. however there will always be holes in the data, and i don't think that should block further development.

I would love to see the evolution of the sol system, see events that took place or will take place, like the formation of the modern Earth with the impact of Theia and of course death of the sol system. I would like to take a trip though the universe and see its structure. All of these things are speculation based upon best evidence. There is a wealth of possibilities out there, it would be a shame not to work towards them.

If its scientific accuracy that the pros want, then perhaps there needs to be a flag for validating object as canon, of something to that affect.
