A book with diagrams of various types of spacecraft is "Spaceship Handbook"
http://www.arapress.com/ssh.html
Supposedly it's intended for people who build flyable scale models, but it's useful for 3D computer graphics modellers, too :)

I'm working on 3D models of nebulas

- Helix Nebula - 95% done
- M57 The Ring Nebula - 95 % done
- RCW 79 - 60 % done
- NGC6543 Cats Eye Nebula - 30 % done

But it's not so easy to build a 3D model from 2D images, and there is so few notes on this subject on the Internet.
I will be pleased if anybody can give me some links with 3D specifications (like this one http://www.astro.washington.edu/balick/APN/APN_talks_posters.html).
