Which Star Catalogue does Celestia use?

I'd like to know the name of the catalogue Celestia uses, or at least what is the precision of the location of a star on the celestial sphere, that is, as viewed from earth.

Thanks in advance.

Celestia's primary catalog (stars.dat) is a reformatted version of the Hipparcos catalog. RA and Dec are supposed to be accurate to ~ 1 milliarcsecond. See

Celestia uses several additional catalogs. I dunno how accurate they are.
