Star Animation and Brightness

Is there a way of making animations using 10 or so jpg images as frames for an animation. So we can get the stars as if they were bubling. Also have animating prominences out the side of the star.
Have an option in, Render > View Options, on how bright your stars are. Either having them real or dim.
