New Atmosphere declarations Questions

Hey folks...

It's my fault in that I don't keep up with the discussions surrounding upgrades to Celestia; my time simply isn't open enough. Even now I'm juggling my job, computer time, and a sick wife. So I hope you'll forgive these questions:

I noticed these new atmosphere delcarations today, after getting a chance to play a bit with Celestia and the new computer system that we've bought.

Code: Select all

      Mie 0.001
      MieAsymmetry -0.25
      Rayleigh [ 0.001 0.0025 0.006 ]
      MieScaleHeight 12

Can someone tell me, or point out somewhere that will tell me, what these mean exactly, and what range each declaration uses? Also, does this work in concert with the haze declarations, or are they pretty much superfulous?

Thanks for your time and patience!

Actually, my search managed to turn up an answer that Fridger gave a while back (it would help if I didn't misspell my initial search parameters!).
