ring shadows over saturn

Hi Chris:

It had been a couple of months since the last time I check the updates for Celestia; today I download the latest pre-releases, and I was amazed to see that there are so many new things you have been adding to this already incredibly well crafted project.

One of the most interesting things I saw was the shadows the rings cast over Saturn. It was very difficult to stop seeing that wonderful simulation in accelerated time; man, you rule!

I installed the pre-releases in my main machine, which has a GeForce4 Ti4200 with 64mb ram. I also did the same on other machine at the office, that has a GeForce2 GTS with 32 mb ram. In that machine the shadows of the rings over saturn never appeared, even using the ring shadows toggle.

Sorry if this topic was already discussed before (the forum has a lot of entries, and I only searched for the pre-releases  ), but, can you tell me if this is due to the lower amount of ram in the video card? or there is a way to tweak this to see the effect?

Thanks for this great software again!
