Hello, I'm back here because I'm home for the summer. I got a PCI Express GeForce 7600 GS with 256 MB of memory in my AMD 64 system now. I also took my laptop's hard drive that has the Microsoft compiler set up on it and put it into a case to plug into USB on the other system. Celestia can compile and run with this setup, so I can start working on the sources again.
I also got another drive for Linux, but haven't set up the NVIDIA driver yet because I don't have a fast connection available for the setup program to download the precompiled kernal module yet. It tried compiling one, but that didn't work because the kernal was compiled with a different version of gcc from what I have. So I'll need to try recompiling the kernal or wait a few months until I get a fast connection to try the precompiled module that the setup could download.
Hello again
