Download problem

I can't download with a java machine interface, as Sloan DR1 Quasars, The Multi-body Quasar Addon, and so on. Can you help me please?
Thanks.

Have you installed Sun's most recent Java virtual machine? That's what is needed.

It's available at
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/index.jsp
or download from
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

The JRE (Java Runtime Environment) should be enough. You probably don't need the much larger JDK (Java Development Kit) unless you plan to program in Java.

Unfortuantely, I don't know why it wouldn't work for you.
It should download and run the JavaWebStart application, and then download and run the LoDN file downloader. Maybe it's a browser security setting. I use Firefox and it works with no problems for me.

In the meantime, the files are available by going to the Lodn Web page at
http://promise.sinrg.cs.utk.edu/lodn/
selecting the Guest browse option
and browsing down to the folder selden/Celestia

Many of them are on the MotherLode, too.
