Feature idea - powerpoint-style scripts

Post #1by Mad Boris » 09.10.2002, 18:01

It's nice to see teachers are using Celestia - wish they'd had astronomy on the syllabus in the UK. Anyway, last week I started university, studying physics with astronomy (or possibly astrophysics I haven't decided yet :) ) and one of the lectures was a powerpoint slide-show tour of the universe. Aside from some pictures of telescopes, the whole thing could easily have been done (and done much better) using a Celestia script. However the lecturer would have needed to control when each stage of the script was executed, so I was wondering : could a future feature in scripts be to use a mouse click to activate the next stage ?

That's a good idea! One could go a bit further and allow going forward and backward between the different defined 'waypoints'...
